The Offshore Platform System Laboratory (OPSL) hosted a delegation from the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SONAME) on June 25, 2026. Composed of Filipino engineers and lawyers, the group visited Pusan National University (PNU) and the Busan Port Authority (BPA) to benchmark technologies for upgrading the Philippines' ferry system and advancing electric propulsion opportunities. The itinerary featured three key highlights: • PNU’s ESS-powered ship XR-metaverse platform orientation • A quick tour of PNU’s Towing Tank facility • A ride to BPA’s E-Green electric ferry

On June 4, 2026, students from Harbin University of Science and Technology visited Pusan National University. During the visit, the OPSL hosted an XR Metaverse orientation focusing on Energy Storage System (ESS) Electronically Powered Ships.
